MJ Rooney Inspires Future Talent at Local Secondary School

At MJ Rooney, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation by providing insights into the diverse career opportunities within the construction industry. As part of our collaboration with Careers Hub London, we’re engaging with local schools to help young people understand the range of career paths available to them.

Last week, Karina White, Enterprise Advisor, visited St Thomas More Comprehensive in Eltham (SE9) to bring the world of business into the classroom. Speaking to Year 11 students, she shared valuable guidance on CV writing - an essential skill for securing work experience, employment, or further education opportunities.

The session was well received, and as a result, Karina has been invited back after half-term to provide more personalised support in helping students develop their CVs.

We believe that sharing career journeys and industry insights can genuinely change lives. By engaging with schools, we’re helping to build a crucial link between education and employment—ensuring students feel more prepared and confident about their future career choices.
